Working with the World Health Network (WHN): FAQ for Collaborating Organizations
The World Health Network (WHN) values collaboration with mission-aligned organizations to advance public health, equity, and community resilience. Our Relations Team is the first point of contact for all partnership inquiries and coordinates the initial review process to help de-silo public health efforts across sectors.
1. How does WHN decide which organizations to work with?
Before entering into collaboration, we assess whether your organization’s mission and activities align with WHN’s values. We review your:
- Website and publicly available materials
- Programs and advocacy priorities
- Funding sources and affiliations
This helps us ensure collaborations are rooted in shared goals and mutual respect. If there’s a strong alignment, we’ll connect your team to the relevant WHN working group or project lead.
2. How do we start the process?
Please complete our Organizational Information Form, which helps us learn about your mission, focus areas, and goals for collaboration. This form is not for submitting project proposals—it’s part of our vetting process to assess alignment and initiate conversation.
3. What kinds of collaboration are possible?
We welcome a variety of collaborations, including:
- Promoting your aligned events and campaigns
WHN may share partner initiatives through our social media, Community Action Newsletter, or other platforms. - Collaborating on your project or campaign
If your organization has an effort, project, or event that could benefit from WHN’s engagement, we welcome working together. - Joining a WHN-led initiative
Organizations may contribute to active WHN projects by bringing their expertise, networks, or resources.
Each collaboration is tailored to the goals and capacities of both parties.
4. What happens after we submit the form?
A member of WHN’s Relations Team will review your submission and follow up with you. If there’s mutual interest in working together, we’ll schedule a conversation and, if aligned, introduce you to the appropriate WHN team to explore next steps.
5. Does WHN ever initiate collaborations?
Yes. WHN also reaches out to organizations when we identify opportunities for shared impact. If we’ve contacted your organization, it’s because we believe in the potential for meaningful collaboration.
We’re excited to connect and explore how we can work together to protect public health and build stronger communities.
