Getting Infected in the Hospital!

It used to be that people went to the hospital and they were treated and got better.

They want you to think that this is the world you live in now.

But it isn’t.

Today, there are sicknesses that are going around.

Flu and RSV and mycoplasma and COVID.

Many people are infected and don’t even know.

And they might infect you.

So now if you go to the hospital, you might not get better.

You might get infected.

Let’s say you have an accident, break a bone and go to the hospital.

And you walk into the emergency department.

Someone is infected in the waiting room.

A patient, a doctor or a nurse or a receptionist might be infected, and they don’t know they have it.

Or they know but aren’t being careful.

They breathe virus or bacteria out, you breathe it in and bingo, you have it too.

You now are sick, but you don’t know it and infect someone else in your family.

What went wrong?

They didn’t clean the air. They didn’t mask. They didn’t test.

And maybe they didn’t stay at home when they knew they were sick.

You might be sick for a while, or you might end up with long COVID.

Now you can’t work and can’t think.

What are you going to do?

Tough luck you got sick and can’t work.

This just happens to be the world you live in.

What can you do?

Well, there are some people and even some hospitals that do care.

Check with your hospital and ask:

Do they mask? Clean air? Test? Not work while sick?

If you call around before you need medical care, it saves stress and lowers infection risk.

Get a friend to help because sometimes it’s easier to advocate for a friend.

And check out the World Health Network.

They created this message.

They want you to be safe.

They’re not connected with specific hospitals.
